Jamye and Bobby Cruse’s

Las Vegas Wedding

After the excitement of being engaged finally set-in, Bobby and Jamye Cruse decided it was time to start planning for the wedding of their dreams. They chose to have an intimate destination wedding in Las Vegas, NV. on September 9, 2017 at the fabulous Mandarin Oriental Hotel that was attended by family and close friends.

At the ceremony, swirls of crystals flanked the altar which complimented the coral, navy blue and gold that was seen throughout the decor (by Jovani Linens), as well as the wedding party’s attire. Reverend Judy Irving, Wedding Vows Las Vegas, performed the ceremony with a lot of love and tenderness. There wasn’t a dry eye in the Ballroom when Bobby’s nine year old daughter, Ava, did a stirring reading entitled, ‘Love!’ (Author unknown) Everything went as planned as the happy couple said their ‘I Do’s’ and then, were pronounced husband and wife!

The reception was held at sunset in the fabulous Oriental Ballroom C. After a three-course dinner was served, festivities of the evening began. The bride and groom, along with many of the guests, stepped out onto the beautifully lit balcony that overlooked the lively “city of lights.” The setting was very romantic as it reflected glitz, glamor, and a lot of fun for everyone, thanks to DJ Doug Farra! Edina, of Images by Edi, did not miss one detail from the ceremony nor the reception. She and her crew are credited for the awesome pictures seen in this blog.

Thank you, again, Bobby and Jamye Cruse for allowing Par Excel Events to be a part of your beautiful lifetime event – one that I am sure that you will always remember and cherish as one of the best days of your lives! May God always bless and keep you and your wonderful family.

‘Events, planning, and decor at its finest!’

84th Birthday Party

This was an auspicious occasion – an 84th birthday celebration for a wonderful man who needed a celebration to match his ‘bigger than life’ personality.

The event was held at the L’Ambiance Hall, in Toledo, Ohio.  They chose the theme ‘Denim and Diamonds.’  The challenge was to make the decor masculine.  However, Par Excel Events thrives on challenges, and we were happy to take on the project.

We blinged out a few fedora hats and added denim to make the bands. Other decor included blinged-out votives, tall vases with a few branches complete with crystals and lights. The backdrop set the stage and was the ‘icing on the cake’ that completed the totally beautiful setting! Another successful event!

Event Planning and Ceremony and Reception Decor

Paris Themed Wedding

Our couple had been dating for many years (since grade school) by the time they had decided to get married. Both loved the movie, ‘A Night in Paris,’ and so, they decided to make it the theme of their wedding. Like other couples, a theme can change a couple of times before they settle on one that’s right for them.  When the dust settled, a ‘Paris’ theme was chosen.

The ceremony and reception was held in Toledo, Ohio at the Local 14 UAW Hall and proved to be the perfect setting for this wonderful couple.  They chose vintage flowers with color combinations of purple, fuscia, and white with silver and black accents. Ostrich feathers were used in tall vases for some of the centerpieces.

The biggest problem at hand was the Union emblem that was situated in the middle of an approximately 8″ x 8″ mirror that was positioned behind the head table of the bride and groom.  We had a large oval sign made with an Eiffel tower and the word ‘Paris’ on it. It ultimately worked out well as it covered the unwanted union symbol very nicely.

The couple chose a naked cake because it went very well with the vintage theme. It was decorated with purple flowers and fresh strawberries and was truly delicious!

DJ Mpress did a fantastic job rocking out the reception and kept the guests on their feet all night long! This was a beautiful wedding and a very successful one. The bride was totally gorgeous as was the whole wedding party!
